Classy Baby Who?

I wanted to make a short little ditty about the makings of Classy Baby and what my goals are for the company.

A bit about me first if you don't mind. I'm Amy, co-owner with my husband of Classy Baby Co. I love making things, especially out of fabrics, leather, and sewing related crafts. I have always dreamed that maybe, some day, I could make things that were magical, intriguing, and good enough that other people would want to buy from me.

I remember setting up a "store" and making do-dads out of paper and tape with my brother as a child and making my mom come and "shop" at our store. I started working with leather when I was 10 years old. My first project was a pair of soft sole moccasins. I wore them until they had holes.

My favorite job ever was when I worked for the Costume Shop at Dordt College getting to create garments for theater. There is something so exciting about creating something with my own two hands.

When I had my daughter, I was disappointed by the quality of the selection of footwear, and, well, everything the big box stores had for children. So I started making things for her myself. Cute things, comfortable things, but most importantly, quality items. Stuff she could be proud of, won't wear out right away, and stuff she could feel grown up in. Things she could use as she grows big and strong and clever and brave and kind.

I like to think there are other folks out there who want the same.  I hope you enjoy my store Classy Baby Co, and can find some quality baby and toddler items that can suit your own child's desire to be big, strong, clever, brave, and kind.

Classy Baby Co aims to create a soft sole that is perfect for your little guy or gal as they adventure through a ridiculous amount of growth and development.
